Youth participating in a forum put on by Pauktuutit, the national Inuit women’s organization, visit the Nunavut legislature March 18. Monica Ell, Nunavut's minister for the Status of Women, recognized Nelson Tagoona, Brenda Jararuse, Jana Angulalik, Jerri Thrasher, Kelly McLean, Lavinia Flaherty, Gerard Mesher and Dang-Dang Gruben as visitors to the gallery March 18. “It’s a pleasure when a fellow Baker Lakemiut is in the Chamber as it brings chills to remember where we come from and where we are headed,” Baker Lake MLA Moses Aupaluktuq said about throat-boxer Tagoona.
