Iqaluit residents — many with dogs, including Noah Papatsie and his guide dog Xeno, and some others in wheelchairs — walk, wag or roll through Iqaluit May 26 during the “Walk, Wag & Roll – Celebrate Access Awareness Week” walk, a fundraising effort to raise awareness of the issues facing people with disabilities. The Nunavummi Disabilities Makinnasuaqtiit Society and the Humane Society of Iqaluit co-hosted this event to help support the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, raising a total of $1,717.
