Following the release of the final report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Dec. 15, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his government will work with leaders of First Nations, Metis, Inuit, provinces, and territories to develop a “national reconciliation framework” and a formal response to the TRC’s 94 calls for action. “In partnership with aboriginal communities, provinces, territories, other important partners, we will completely implement the actions called for by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission,” Trudeau said.
