Tukalak took on about 100 passengers May 28 — but Monday is one of the quieter days of the week, she said. Thanks to money from Quebec, there are public transit projects in Puvirnituq and Inukjuak, although 11 other communities in Nunavik offer a combined transit service to elders and members of the public.
