Photo: Quebec plans another Nunavik park — “Monts-Pyramides”

Inuit call this peak, Mt. Pyramid, ulittaniujalik, part of the Pyramid chain of mountains, located about 100 kilometres south of Kangiqsualujjuaq. About 5,000 kilometres of land around this mountain is set to become Nunavik’s fourth provincial park, “le parc national des Monts-Pyramides.” People who live in Kangiqsualujjuaq will have the chance to say what they think about this move Nov. 21 and 22 during a public hearings on the park’s creation.
