A sled dog jumps with excitement at the starting line of Ivakkak, Nunavik’s dog sled race, which took off from Quaqtaq early March 31 to cheers from community members. Twelve teams are on their way to a camp called Aariak, about 88 kilometres away, where they’ll camp tonight. Tomorrow, April 1, teams are expected to reach Kangirsuk.
