Iqaluit’s Alianait festival gets a welcome boost: Andrea Bolger, executive vice-president of business and financial services at the Royal Bank of Canada, presents a cheque for $15,000 to Franco Buscemi, chairperson of Alianait’s board of directors, to help support Alianait’s emerging artist program. “We believe in the power of art to enrich lives and enhance communities. That is why we are investing in the future of artists and banking on some pretty thought-provoking returns,” read an RBC statement about the donation.
