Reading across Nunavut: students at Joamie Elementary School in Iqaluit have challenged themselves during Nunavut Literacy Week, Sept. 22 to Sept. 28, to “Read Across Nunavut,” as they devote time daily to reading activities. Starting in Kugluktuk, they want to get their qamutik from Kugluktuk in western Nunavut to Iqaluit by Sept. 27. By the end of the day Sept. 25, they were more than half way there.
