The site of the Aug. 20, 2011 crash of First Air flight 6560 about a week after the disaster, when investigators with the Transport Safety Board were scouring the site for evidence to help them explain what happened before the aircraft slammed into a hillside overlooking the Resolute Bay airport. Although the TSB report has not yet been released, three survivors of the crash and the families of seven deceased passengers have filed statements of claim in the Nunavut Court of Justice against First Air (legally known as Bradley Air Services Ltd.), Nav Canada and the Attorney General of Canada.
