Photo: Road paving underway in Iqaluit

Road repaving is underway along a section of Niaqunngusiaq (Apex) Road in Iqaluit, stretching east from the intersection with the city’s near Qikiqtani General Hospital to a water booster station, for about 300 metres. A partial road closure brings traffic down to one lane, alternating in each direction, the city’s department of engineering said. “There are a lot of potholes on that section of pavement, and we’re also paving the whole laneway of the water booster station,” said Meagan Leach, director of the department.
