The dance piece grew out of knowledge Henriksen collected from elders in Sápmi, the Saami region of northern Europe. “It’s important to document the knowledge that our elders have now, before it’s too late.” said the Saami dancer, choreographer and filmmaker, who comes from Kautokeino, Norway.
