Photo: Salluit airport hit by heavy winds

Baggage carts lay strewn and damaged at Salluit’s airport Dec. 11, a day after a blizzard kicked up 130 kilometre an hour winds along Nunavik’s Hudson Coast. The storm blew panels of roofs, pulled siding from homes and pushed a number of vehicles on their sides. Fortunately, no one in the community of 1,300 was seriously injured during the storm.
