Singer-songwriter and performer Elisapie, the star of Salluit, performs at the Luke Novoligak Community Centre in Cambridge Bay Feb. 9 to kick off the Kitikmeot Trade Show in that community. The trade show, which runs Feb. 9 to Feb. 11 features booths by local and visiting businesses and service providers as well as guest speakers and presentations. Topics up for discussion in western Nunavut this year run from tourism opportunities to mining, heritage preservation as well as science and technology projects related to the Canadian High Arctic Research Station.
