Hudson Bay MLA Allan Rumbolt, second from left, told the Nunavut legislative assembly Feb. 22 that high school students in Sanikiluaq missed their chance to take the English departmental exam last month when someone forgot to update the Alberta testing division on Sanikiluaq’s new school name. The community’s new Paatsaali High School opened its doors to 179 students this past September. “I was very concerned to learn there are a number of Sanikiluaq high school students looking forward to graduating [who] may have their dreams delayed due to a bureaucratic error,” Rumbolt said. Premier and Education Minister Eva Aariak said her department would look into the issue. (PHOTO BY SARAH ROGERS)
