Sealfies: supporters of traditional seal harvesting pose with messages in their own “sealfies” as part of a new exhibit on display at the Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum in Iqaluit. The exhibit, by Quebec artist Raoul Jomphe, features seal hunters from Newfoundland, Nunavut and Quebec’s Magdalen Islands. Museum visitors are encouraged to write their own messages on paper provided at the museum to upload to the exhibit’s Facebook page. The exhibit is on display in Iqaluit until June.
