Pauloosie Keyootak, seen here Feb. 24 taking his oath of office as the new MLA for Uqqummiut, has been reported overdue after departing Iqaluit March 22 by snowmobile for Pangnirtung, along with two companions. The group did not arrive when expected March 24. On March 27, sources informed Nunatsiaq News that two searchers from Iqaluit have headed out along the Pangnirtung trail and that the search and rescue group in Pangnirtung is preparing to take part. A spokesperson for Nunavut's emergency management organization said March 27 it is not their policy to comment on a search while the search is underway. As of the morning of March 28, the overdue travellers had not turned up.  (FILE PHOTO)
