Photo: Senate committtee stops in Kuujjuaq

The six-member Standing Senate Committee on Aboriginal Peoples, which includes Nunavut Senator Dennis Patterson and Nunavik Senator Charlie Watt, visits Kuujjuaq April 20. As part of its tour to survey housing conditions across the North, the committee heard presentations from organizations like Makivik Corp., the Kativik Regional Government and Qarjuit Youth Council, which described the region’s shortage of some 900 housing units.
