Photo: Singer-songwriter JP Maurice mutes his pop roots

West coast singer-songwriter JP Maurice treats his audience to a powerful stripped-down reinterpretation of his pop-rock repertoire during an Alianait concert at Inuksuk High School in Iqaluit Jan. 8. The musician told the crowd about a family photo of himself with a guitar and his cousin when they were both children. To be able to share a stage with his cousin now in Iqaluit, Maurice remarked, was something very special.
