Photo: Small, hearty group runs for diabetes in Kuujjuaq

A handful of hearty runners donned warm gear to run and raise awareness about diabetes Sept. 27 in Kuujjuaq. The event, repeated in communities throughout the North this summer, was organized by the Kuujjuaq Northern Store. Participants who ran or walked 2.5 or 5 kms received a medal at the finish line and got to enjoy a free barbecue and snacks along with store customers. (PHOTO BY ISABELLE DUBOIS)
