Photo: Snow problem – Iqaluit shutdown impacts beyond the capital

The calm after the storm: spring arrived with a wallop in Nunavut’s capital, delivering a blizzard that lasted more than two days and buried many of the city’s homes and roads with snow over the weekend starting overnight March 18. City plows were still clearing roads early March 21, while Iqalungmiut went back to work and school in light winds and -16 C temperatures.
