Kangiqsualujjuaq high school students Andréa Brazeau, 15, and Julia St-Aubin, 16, ask Nunavik leaders what they will do to better regulate the caribou sports hunt in the region to better preserve the herds. The two asked the question Feb. 19, after the first day of consultations in their community, about Parnasimautik, the Nunavik development plan developed in response to Quebec's Plan Nord, sparking a discussion about whether there are too many airplanes for hunters, fishers and tourists flying over the region and frightening caribou.
