Cambridge Bay resident Doug Stern gets ready to put his collection of southern baby trees and plants to sleep for the winter. This year, Stern built a glass enclosure to better protect the plants from the western Nunavut community’s notorious cold and wind. Many of these plants are already in their second year of growth.
