The white and pink flowering heads of the Labrador tea plant poke out from the tundra at Sylvia Grinnell park in Iqaluit. Labrador tea or Qijuktaaqpait has a number of uses; its leaves are most commonly brewed as tea and Inuit on Baffin Island have traditionally used its stems as a sort of chewing tobacco.
