Lush vegetation continues to soak up sun in Kuujjuaq on Sept. 12. Environment Canada predicts temperatures of 18 C in Kuujjuaq for Sept. 12, or eight degrees above the normal high for the day. August and July saw many days with highs in the mid-20s, while the summer heat wave kicked off in June when a temperature high of 31 C was recorded on June 12. (PHOTO BY JANE GEORGE)
