The book, titled “Playing With Fire,” created a flurry of attention when released in 2009 as Fleury talked about his battles with sexual abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, and his mental health issues. “I had no clue what I was getting myself into when I was writing my book. What I quickly realized was that I wasn’t only alone, but I was apart of the biggest epidemic on the planet, which is sexual abuse,” Fleury told Nunatsiaq News. He said he was in town to “inspire” children and to talk about his previous struggles. Read more about Fleury’s visit on Nunatsiaqonline.ca. (PHOTO BY DAVID MURPHY)
