Photo: Touring around the fiords of Baffin

Looking straight at Nuvualuk with fiords on either side: a spring tour around Baffin Island June 12, with the endless sun, is a photographer’s dream. Members of the Clyde River Hunters and Trappers Organization are touring areas near Clyde River to capture landscapes and camping sites as part of the Clyde River Knowledge Atlas project lead by Shari Gearheard and Robert Kautuk of the community organization Ittaq. The purpose of the online atlas is “to make knowledge about Clyde River’s environment accessible and useable to a diverse audience,” according to the Ittaq website. (PHOTO BY NIORE IQALUKJUAK)
