Mating season’s greetings from Baker Lake! During the month of November, male barrenland caribou travel in herds with females to make babies which will grow in utero during the winter months and be born in the spring. It’s also the time when the male caribou shed their antlers. This herd was spotted along the Thelon River. (PHOTO BY LARS QAQQAQ)
