Quaqtaq residents use tools, and their own unlimited creativity, to craft jewelry in Quaqtaq. From Jan. 18 to Feb. 12, facilitators with the Kativik School Board Adult Education and Vocational Training Services visted Quaqtaq to put on the jewelry workshop, one of several travelling workshops the KSB has offered this winter. Roughly a dozen participants, aged 16 and up, took part in the training over those weeks, making pendants, rings and earrings, thanks to support from the Kativik Regional Government.
