Matthew Argnak of Kangiqsujuaq shot a 2,000-pound female walrus in front of the Kangiqsujuaq co-op store shortly after noon on Oct. 15. The walrus exhibited strange behaviour by swimming so close to shore, say people in the community.The meat will be sent away for testing before it can be distributed to the population.
