A soldier with the 4th Canadian Division’s Arctic Response Company Group finds himself immersed in icy winds and temperatures below -50 C while on a long-range patrol near Rankin Inlet Feb. 17, during Exercise Trillium Response. About 300 members of the 4th Canadian Division, which includes the Barrie, Ont.-based Grey and Simcoe Foresters and other reserve regiments, are training in winter warfare and cold weather survival during the exercise, which runs Feb. 15 to Feb. 25.
