The hometown Whale Cove Whalers celebrate their victory over Rankin Inlet A & R March 29 which means the Johnny Kook Memorial cup will stay in Whale Cove this year. The four-on-four tournament, which ran March 27 to March 29, is held annually to honour the late Johnny Kook, a beloved resident and local hockey fan. Another team from Rankin Inlet, the Inuks, took third place this year.
