Photo: Where’s the MLA for Uqqummiut?

Samuel Nuqingaq, the MLA-elect for Uqqummiut, was a no-show for the start of the Nov. 15 Nunavut leadership forum, but he did appear shortly after 1:30 p.m. He told Nunatsiaq News that he spent the morning “sleeping.” This means 21 of the Nunavut legislative assembly’s 22 newly-elected MLAs are there to participate in choosing a premier and cabinet.
