You can’t see them but dozens of pre-teen girls are screeching with delight in Cambridge Bay to welcome Olaf the snowman. Olaf, who provided an infectious comic relief in Disney’s 2013 instant animated classic “Frozen,” suddenly appeared last week in that western Nunavut hub near the home of Nunatsiaq News contributor Derrick Anderson. Maybe he liked the weather: temperatures in Cambridge Bay have remained solidly in the -30 C to -35 C range and far colder when you factor in the wind chill. But Olaf’s OK with that.
