Photo: Young Nunavik hockey players get early Christmas presents

Ho Ho Ho-ckey: the president of the Kuujjuaq Minor Hockey Association, Michael Filteau, back right, was pleased to accept a generous donation of hockey equipment this year from Nunavik Construction’s Dennis Lock, back left, Dec. 11. With the help of Nunavik Nickel owners Canadian Royalties, which covered the shipping costs, Lock donated about $3,500 worth of gear including skates, helmets and bags, so the hockey association could dress a new crop of enthusiastic pre-novice players in Kuujjuaq including Sammy Saunders, front right, and Peter Angnatuk.
