Young throatsingers Matilda Kauki and Jessie Fortier-Ningiuruvik perform Aug. 14 at the Aqpik Jam festival in Kuujjuaq as their throat singing teachers Evie Mark (left) and Akinisie Sivuarapik (right) applaud them with pride.The performance by these two and other young throatsingers and drummers was the culmination of a workshop offered during the festival by Mark and Sivuarapik.
