Photo: Heavy rains wash out roads in Cambridge Bay

Cambridge Bay resident Denise LeBleu snapped this shot of the Airport Road June 18 after heavy rains overnight on top of melting snow caused flooding in some areas of that Kitikmeot community. Mitik Street was also flooded out and low lying areas turned into ponds. Environment Canada’s website said roughly half a centimetre of precipitation fell June 18. (PHOTO BY DENISE LEBLEU)
