Photo: Paws to consider: Polar bear tracks emerge from the landscape

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

Notice something strange about this windswept snowscape? Clyde River-based photographer Niore Iqalukjuak did. The line of raised oblong shapes are polar bear paw prints. It appears as though the weight of the bear compressed the tracks so that they remained in place, even after the wind blew some of the surrounding snow away. This photo was taken Feb. 25 near Cape Christian. (PHOTO BY NIORE IQALUKJUAK)
