The music's over — at least for this year. Aboriginal songstress Diyet takes to the stage as the final performer in Alianait's 2015 concert series. Her Yukon based trio performed to about 100 enthusiastic music fans at Iqaluit's Joamie School Nov. 22. Diyet said the capital's recent spate of mild weather caught the singer by surprise, who had packed her suitcase for a much colder weekend. Drum dancers and singers from Inuksuk High School performed as Diyet's opening act, offering the audience a selection of songs and traditional choreography. (PHOTO BY STEVE DUCHARME)
