Nunavut RCMP investigate death of teenage girl in Hall Beach
RCMP team “mobilized from Iqaluit immediately”
The Nunavut RCMP sent its major crimes unit and forensic identification section to Hall Beach Nov. 24 to investigate the death of a 17-year-old teenage girl.
An RCMP news release issued Nov. 24 did not provide any information on the cause of the girl’s death, but did say the major crimes and forensic ID investigators were “mobilized from Iqaluit immediately” in the early morning hours of Nov. 24.
Members of the Hall Beach RCMP have also started an investigation into the girl’s death, police said.
Police said the investigation is “in a very early stage and details are limited.”
