Members of the Nunavut RCMP are investigating the sudden death of an infant in the territory’s capital.

Police were called to Iqaluit’s Qikiqtani General Hospital July 29 just after 4:30 p.m., where the infant had arrived unresponsive some time earlier, the RCMP said July 30.

Police did not provide any other details about the baby, who was only a few months old.

The RCMP and Nunavut’s chief coroner are investigating the death.

But police have made no arrests in relation to the incident, the RCMP said July 30.
