Nunavut police investigate sudden death of Iqaluit infant
Baby arrived unresponsive at Iqaluit’s Qikiqtani General Hospital July 29
Members of the Nunavut RCMP are investigating the sudden death of an infant in the territory’s capital.
Police were called to Iqaluit’s Qikiqtani General Hospital July 29 just after 4:30 p.m., where the infant had arrived unresponsive some time earlier, the RCMP said July 30.
Police did not provide any other details about the baby, who was only a few months old.
The RCMP and Nunavut’s chief coroner are investigating the death.
But police have made no arrests in relation to the incident, the RCMP said July 30.
