We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone for your comfort and support during our time of sorrow.
Elaya Mike was a hard-working man. He was our father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and dear friend. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
He always had a way of making people smile and that is how he left us, with a peaceful smile. Let us celebrate the beautiful memories of our dear Elaya. God bless his soul. Rest in heavenly peace.

Qujannamiik to Simiga Suvega, Qalapik Pishukti, Taqialuk Peter, Jessica Lee, Imoe Papatsie, Andrew and Sarah Taqtuq, Jaimisi and Nutaula Kootoo, a heartfelt nakurmiik to the band that played at the funeral, Gideonie Joamie, Luc Peter, Manasi and Laisa Mark, Jimmy and Mosie Qaurnirq, Jaikupuusi and Jeanie Tiglik, Danny and Ningiulaa Tiglik.
Our sincere gratitude goes to Trudy, Lena, Louisa and all the staff at the Larga Baffin, the Ottawa General Hospital, Dr. Laurie, Oshni Interpreters, the elders home, the Tammaativvik Boarding Home, home care, First Air reservations, the Qikiqtani Inuit Association and Cape Dorset community members for fundraising and donating funds to assist family members in attending the funeral.
Also thank-you to Mike Gardner and Brian Pearson for their help with the funeral service.
There is simply too many people to name. Thank-you to everyone who offered their comfort and support we will treasure your kindness in our hearts forever.
