Iqaluit RCMP investigate animal drug theft

Police in Iqaluit are investigating a break-in at a local veterinary clinic over this past weekend.

Members of the RCMP in Iqaluit were called to the clinic May 12, said an RCMP release, also issued May 12.

“A safe was stolen that contained serious medications that if taken by humans can be lethal,” the release said.

Police said they want to inform the public of this danger and to urge residents to report any information concerning these drugs.
