RCMP seeks information on “sudden death” in Gjoa Haven
A man, 43, died early Sept. 3
The RCMP is asking people to contact police if they have any information about the “sudden death” of a 43-year-old man last Saturday in Gjoa Haven.
On Sept. 3, at about 3:00 a.m., members of local RCMP detachment were called to a residence in Gjoa Haven. There, they found the man, who was “unresponsive,” according to a Sept. 6 news release,
After emergency medical care was provided at the scene, police took the man to the local health clinic, but the health care workers were not able to revive the man there.
The RCMP detachment in Gjoa Haven investigated the death, with the assistance of “V” Division Major Crime Unit from Iqaluit.
Police did not release the name of the man, pending the notification of next of kin and autopsy results.
