Police and other searchers hope to continue their search June 20 for a man missing since June 15 near Resolute Bay.
Members of the RCMP detachment received a report about that the man was missing June 19, a June 19 statement from the RCMP said.
Oolateetah Iqaluk was last seen on his snowmobile June 15 near Mecham River, about seven kilometres northeast of the hamlet, heading towards the Laurel Lake area with a group heading to fish there.
Local search and rescue and Nunavut Protection Services are now involved in the search to locate Iqaluk.
But weather conditions, high winds and snow have hampered search efforts.
The Environment Canada weather forecast for June 20 shows periods of light snow ending this morning then a mix of sun and cloud, with winds of about 20 km/hour.
