Human remains found near Kugluktuk shoreline: RCMP

What appear to be human remains have been found along the shoreline in Kugluktuk, the RCMP said June 10.

On the evening of June 4, members of the Kugluktuk RCMP detachment responded to a call involving the discovery of suspected human remains.

The local RCMP detachment and the Nunavut coroner are investigating the discovery, the RCMP news release said.

Police said they believe the remains may be associated with an outstanding missing persons report.

Forensic analysis to confirm the identity of the remains is continuing, police said.
