Thanks from Kimmirut Search and Rescue

From May 25 to May 27, Mr. Denis Thibeault from Iqaluit taught basic cross-country skiing skills to more than five people in Kimmirut.

Some dedicated people from Iqaluit and elsewhere put this together on very short notice. We thank them very much for their compassion and assistance.

This will help us to do searches close to Kimmirut now or in the future, if required.

Thanks to Ski Iqaluit for supplying the skis and to Denis for volunteering to come and teach, First Air and Jimi Onalik for providing the travel, Ron Pate for providing the accommodations, NTI and Malaya Mikijuk for organizing the whole thing.

Your thoughts and prayers are not forgotten either in our ongoing search for our fellow community member.
