Vandal fouls up hamlet building in Pangnirtung, disrupting court
Circuit court moves to another location following bear spray discharge
The RCMP in Pangnirtung are looking for somebody who discharged bear spray into a washroom at the local hamlet offices May 13, causing the building to be evacuated and a circuit court party to be relocated.
Bear spay can cause coughing, irritation to the eyes and irritation to the throat, the RCMP said in a news release.
These symptoms dissipate after the person is removed from the area. Water can help soothe affected areas of the body.
No one was injured in the Pangnirtung bear spray incident, police said.
The RCMP asks anyone with information to call the Pangnirtung detachment at (867) 473-0123 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477.)
