We’re not an “accreditation” body, Universities Canada says

“Universities Canada is a voluntary non-governmental, membership-based and funded organization”

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

Please note that your June 14 article, “Student enrollment biggest hurdle to creation of Nunavut university: study,” misstates the role of Universities Canada.

Our role is not as a national accreditation, disciplinary or regulatory body.

Universities Canada is a voluntary non-governmental, membership-based and funded organization.

We provide our 97 member institutions across Canada with a unified voice for higher education, research and innovation.
