Kingston police issue new request for help in finding missing Nunavut man

Ken Kilabuk, originally from Pangnirtung, has been missing since about 1:30 a.m. Oct. 16, when he was last seen in downtown Kingston, Ont. The local police department in Kingston, Ont. has issued another request to the public to help them seek a young man from Nunavut who went missing earlier this week.

In a notice, Kingston police said they are concerned about the safety of Ken Kilabuk, 22, originally from Pangnirtung.

They ask that anyone with information about Kilabuk contact Detective Frank Howard at (613) 549-4660, Ext. 6126; Sgt. Matt Funnell, Ext. 6240; or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Kilabuk, a student at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, is described as five feet, nine inches tall, weighing about 240 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and brown skin.

He was last seen at around 1:30 a.m. Oct. 16 in downtown Kingston, wearing black and green Adidas shoes, a black and blue fox hat and a black bench jacket.

The CKWS television station in Kingston has issued an alert and the search for Kilabuk is listed on the Missing People of Canada Facebook page.
