Do you know who this stuff belongs to?

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

The Iqaluit RCMP detachment wants the public to help them find out who is responsible for the armed robbery of a fast food delivery driver in Iqaluit Nov. 5.

At about 7:30 p.m. that evening, two people wearing masks approached a woman who drives a delivery vehicle for the Snack restaurant, just after she had parked at the back of the restaurant and was walking towards the back door.

One of the masked robbers pointed a rifle at her.

The driver handed over the money she was carrying, and the robbers fled on foot. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

Those convicted of robbery with a firearm now face a minimum sentence of four years in prison.

The RCMP has distributed pictures of a gun, and some clothes. Police say anyone who recognizes any of this stuff should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or the Iqaluit RCMP detachment at 979-1111.
